Second thoughts on the Warhammer Online 1.1 Patch

The new oRvR influence system offers new rewards for participating in battles in the open field rather than fighting in the sandbox scenarios. For casual players the scenarios were their ideal choice because of the limited time they have. They can get the most of out scenarios, just login, zone into a scenario and onto a killing rampage. This patch hopes to bring all the casual players out into oRvR with more rewarding incentives.

Some other highlights of this recent patch includes the 2 new careers, the Black Guard and the Knight of the Blazing Sun. This was probably an obvious one since we’ve anticipated for this a month ago now. Chat Hyperlinking which I honestly could not understand how this was not implemented from the beginning. Did WoW not make this obvious enough? Just like in the DAoC days, as population grows smaller, trials were made easier. Public Quests are now easier due to the limited number of players in the lower tiers. The bragging rights as mentioned is now live. Statues to honor those who have fought long and hard each battle have been placed in the capital cities. Armor sets have always had issues here and there in which are now addressed. Casting delays and response times from lag are addressed as well as some UI modifications. Last but not least, for those nubs who can’t seem to assist the MA, you now get a /assist MA button.
